Our client in looking for a Skills Coach to support learners working towards level 2-5 apprenticeship standards across a range of courses.
The delivery will have a blend of both knowledge and skills/competence using a wide range of learning materials to encompass and enhance various learning styles to meet the standards of curriculums and satisfy internal and external requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity which will benefit a person with good organisation skills and is forward thinking to develop Teaching and Learning guides, leaner’s notes, lesson plans and schemes of work to meet the national occupational standards.
An essential part of this role is providing professional competence monitoring, assessment, and feedback where you will be required to assess skills/competency and knowledge of apprentices against the standards.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment of new learners
- Complete Functional Skills with learners as required
- EPA preparation
- Conduct workplace induction for all new learners as detailed in current procedures
- Visits learners at workplace/ or remote through recorded session using Microsoft teams, carry out workplace reviews and assessments, gather evidence, assess progress and update leaner records in accordance with current procedures
- Complete 28-day active learning sessions and 12-week reviews for each learner in accordance with current procedures
- Carry our Health and Safety monitoring and vetting of employers to ensure adequate facilities , insurance and statutory Health and Safety requirements
- Contribute to monthly meetings
- To monitor frequency, content and consistency of reviews and assessment throughout multiple site contracts
- Liaison with line manager to ensure co-ordination between on the job and off the job training
- Liaison with employers
- Provide Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to learners.
Personal Specification:
- GCSE in English, Maths and IT or equivalent
- Confident and adept dealing with learners, parents, employers and awarding bodies
- A working knowledge of Awarding Body requirements and end point assessment process
