The role:
This is an opportunity for an Internal Quality Assurer with experience in the assuring of a range of qualifications within the construction industry sector. You will work closely with the Service Delivery team who are delivering a range of apprenticeship, HTQ and commercial programmes along with linking with the curriculum development team in reviewing and improving current academic learning.
You will be part of the expansion within the construction qualification programme aimed at delivering cutting edge learning to organisations helping them to develop the skills of their workforce and deliver maximum, real-world impact. Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all IQA activities continually meet the needs of the learners and exceed awarding organisation requirements and Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition
- Manage an ongoing cycle of standardisation meetings and calibration exercises for assessors to ensure best practice and consistency in assessment decisions and practices.
- Manage delivery models & other resources to embed a consistent & standardised approach to delivery.
- Complete IQA reports that are clear, well written & have ample detail to support & improve performance.
- Providing feedback & references for improvement to assessors based on quality assurance reviews.
- Participate in or manage EQA activities as required.
- Ensure assessors are supported, trained and developed, providing mentorship and guidance as required.
- Work collaboratively with the curriculum team to design and continuously improve the suite of high quality, interactive, remote and face to face workshops.
- Work with the Curriculum team to ensure programmes continue to meet all the requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards and HTQ learning outcomes.
- Produce & maintain delivery guides, templates & supporting documentation to support the Service delivery team.
- Work closely and collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders, such as those in the teams of Curriculum, Assessment, Marketing and Service Delivery.
- Work effectively with external stakeholders as required.
- Make sure Personal Development Behaviour and Attitudes, and Off-The-Job-Hours (OTJH) requirements are seamlessly met in the programme.

Experience and Skills:
- Relevant occupational competence within the construction sector.
- At least 3 years of relevant construction industry experience
- Experience working in an assessment/IQA/EQA role.
- Experience in delivering training and support to assessors.
- Hold one of the following qualifications, or equivalent: D32/ D33, A1, V1, CAVA/TAQA.
- Construction Site Health and Safety.
- CSCS Card.
- Familiarity with relevant quality assurance frameworks, standards, and accreditation processes.
- Experience in working with certificating awarding bodies, EQA’s and centre approvals.
- A self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Quality driven, strong IT skills and learner-focused.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic about using systems and technology to drive continuous improvement.
- Can work effectively on multiple tasks and priorities.
- Motivated to grow and thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.
- Understanding of educational trends and best practice would be desirable.
Essential:
- Experience in quality assuring educational/training content in construction modules for qualifications from level 2-5.
- Understanding the application of various data and technology solutions including real-world contexts.
- Project Management
- Must be qualified up to a minimum level 4 within multiple construction disciplines.
- Must have industry experience in construction roles.
- Experience delivering training.
- Up to date and relevant CPD log.
Education:
- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
Experience:
- Construction: 4 years (preferred)
- Curriculum development: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
