Company Overview
Our client are looking for an experienced Leadership and Management Assessor to join their team, to deliver apprenticeship programmes to junior, middle and senior managers, largely from the logistics sector, but also from a range of diverse national brand employers.
You will be allocated your own caseload of apprentices across the East and West Midlands. Where you will deliver apprenticeship programmes through a blend of online and face to face learning at the employer’s premises. Working closely with their employers, you'll develop apprentice’s knowledge, skills, and behaviours along with maths and English. The cohorts of apprentices can range from 1 to 1 learning and block learning to suit the employers they work with.
Position Overview
We are recruiting for a knowledgeable and experienced Leadership and Management Assessor to join our clients dynamic Training and Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners through their leadership and management qualifications, ensuring they meet the required standards and achieve their learning objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of learners' knowledge and skills in leadership and management. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help learners improve and achieve their qualifications.
- Support and Mentorship: Offer support and mentorship to learners, helping them understand assessment criteria and prepare for evaluations. Address any learning difficulties and provide tailored support to meet individual needs.
- Planning and Delivery: Deliver assessment activities in accordance with established guidelines and timelines.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of learners' progress, assessment outcomes, and any areas for improvement. Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in internal and external quality assurance processes to ensure the integrity and consistency of assessments. Implement feedback from quality assurance reviews to enhance assessment practices.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, assessment methods, and best practices in leadership and management. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance assessment skills and knowledge.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other assessors, trainers, and the Head of Quality to ensure a cohesive approach to learner support and assessment. Contribute to the development and improvement of assessment materials and resources.
Skills and experience:
Essential
- Management professional with at least 2 years management experience
- Experienced in delivering Leadership and Management apprenticeships
- Hold an assessing qualification, i.e. TAQA, CAVA, A1
- Minimum qualification in English and maths of a Grade C/Grade 4
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Full, clean driving license and willing to travel for this role
Desirable:
- Experience in a leadership or management role.
- Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification.
- Familiarity with current industry standards and regulations.
