ROLE PURPOSE

Our Client is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join their educational team. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the personal development of learners.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver inspiring lessons to raise learners’ expectations and aspirations, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning.
  • Tailor both accredited and non-accredited programmes to the needs and interests of the learners.
  • Develop personalised learning plans that equip learners with essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours for positive progression.
  • Create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
  • Assess learners’ progress, provide constructive feedback and guide them towards development goals.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE grades 9 to 4, A* to C, or equivalent).
  • Qualification in the specialist subject area of Functional Skills.
  • Proven track record of effective teaching within the subject specialism.
  • Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to secure a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
