Remote with travel around the Birmingham region
Key Responsibilities
Deliver teaching and learning for Adult Care Apprenticeships/Diplomas across Levels 2–5, catering to mixed-ability learners in both one-to-one and group settings.
Ensure timely delivery of Apprenticeships/Diplomas, maintaining high learner satisfaction, retention, and success rates.
Support learners in developing Maths, English, and digital skills to help them reach their full potential.
Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments as required.
Assess learners' work in accordance with organisational and awarding body requirements.
Keep accurate records, monitor, and track learners' progress to meet quality assurance and reporting requirements.
Regularly review learner progress with both learners and employers (at least every eight weeks).
Provide developmental feedback to learners, supporting their career progression and future aspirations.
Offer careers advice and guidance, signposting learners to relevant platforms and support services.
Monitor and record both on- and off-the-job training to demonstrate learner progress.
Promote the Prevent Duty and British values to enhance learners' understanding.
Attend regular standardisation meetings and respond promptly to IQA feedback.
Participate in observations of teaching, learning, and assessment, as well as appraisal processes.
Contribute to external quality assurance and inspection preparations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational safeguarding responsibilities.
Maintain accurate learner and employer records on the e-Portfolio system.
Support enrolment processes, providing information, advice, and guidance to learners.
Undertake administrative duties as required by the organisation.
Assist the Compliance Officer in conducting Health and Safety pre-vetting reports/updates on employer premises.
Attend monthly one-to-one meetings and caseload reviews with the Lead IQA.
Stay up to date with relevant legislation, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Prevent, and British values.
Qualifications & Experience
A recognised Teaching Qualification.
A recognised Assessor Qualification.
Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.
Previous experience delivering Health and Social Care courses.
Proven track record of achieving strong learner outcomes.
Experience supporting learners aged 16+ towards positive outcomes.
Skills & Attributes
Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong IT skills and ability to use e-Portfolio systems effectively.
Vocational experience and up-to-date CPD within the sector.
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
