Job Description

To inspire Learning and Development apprentices to successfully complete their
apprenticeship programmes by being learner focused, passionate about development and
striving for excellence. As a remote worker you take responsibility for your own workload and apprentices, working closely with the facilitator and assessor teams.

Key responsibilities:
Onboarding Apprentices

  • Conduct initial needs analysis with apprentices before the start of the programme,
    support apprentices post sale and pre-induction, providing a smooth transition onto
    the Apprenticeship, enabling apprentices to benefit from a tailored programme.
  • Work closely with Apprenticeship sales and delivery teams to effortlessly on-
    board apprentices
  • Oversee Functional Skills and Additional Needs Assessments, making sure these are
    completed with every apprentice before their programme starts, and that timely
    functional skills and other learning support is provided whilst on programme
  • Support functional skills development (Math’s and English level 2/3)
  • Recognising when Additional Learning Needs or pastoral support is required and assist in signposting learners to specialist support

Supporting Apprentices on Programme

  • Facilitate Apprenticeship induction workshops
  • Support apprentices to develop their skills and behaviour by applying these in the
    workplace
  • Support learners through specific elements of their Apprenticeship Standards, offering quality feedback and structured learning
  • Deliver on programme learning support-to apprentices within their caseload
  • Conduct monthly remote learner reviews
  • Act as an ambassador with employers and learners, liaising regularly with them
  • Promote employer support for Apprenticeship candidates
  • Deliver End Point Assessment support
  • Conduct quarterly on-site employer and apprentice reviews

Apprenticeship Administration

  • Maintain apprenticeship administration records, making sure accurate up to dates
    Data is input to the systems
  • Ensure learner progress is planned and tracked efficiently, allowing targets to be
    achieved within an agreed upon, structured framework
  • Analyze data to assess apprentice progress, identify apprentices who may require
    support, proactively initiate actions to keep apprentices on track towards completion
    Apprenticeship Quality Assurance
  • Have a pro-active approach to Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
  • Attend required training sessions and meetings to enhance knowledge and
    adhere to CPD requirements
  • Apply a continuous professional development make sure personal competence is
    maintained

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of relevant apprenticeship standards and funding – essential
  • Learning and Development (L&D) qualified to level 5 and an L&D practitioner (CIPD, PTLLS,
    DTLLS or City and Guilds qualifications)- essential
  • An interest in career development in a coaching and training context – essential
  • Coaching qualification or equivalent – desirable
  • FENTO or equivalent at level2 literacy/numeracy- essential
  • An understanding of Apprenticeships and/or commercial training – essential
  • Interpersonal skills /excellent communicator – essential
  • Understanding or experience of LMS systems – desirable
  • IT literate and excellent IT skills- essential
  • Effectively communicate in a remote environment – essential
  • Ability to plan and organise their own work load and contingency plan as and when
    required- essential
  • Problem solving techniques – essential
  • Self-motivated- essential
  • Attention to detail/data analysis- essential
  • Ability to travel and work flexibility- essential
  • Driving licence – essential
  • Must undertake an enhanced DBS checks
