Job Description

Role Purpose

As an Operations Manager, you will be lead, develop and coach your team of Personal Tutors to achieve maximum productivity, whilst ensuring that the day to day operations of your team run smoothly.

Working alongside business development, you will drive business growth and sales within your area.

As a natural and passionate leader, you will be accountable for all aspects of line management, including recruiting, training and development, and retention our high calibre colleagues.

You will support your team of Personal Tutors to deliver an effective learning experience to our learners.

Ensure the team provide their caseload of learners with information, advice and guidance to successfully complete their qualifications in a timely manner

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all aspects of line management and leadership inclusive of recruiting, training, developing and retaining peak performing colleagues and ensuring consistent
  • Deliver regional targets through high performing Personal Tutors
  • Drive consistent and effective delivery to learners by ensuring that all Learner Journey processes are followed
  • Ensure that all quality processes are followed and maintain regular and effective communication with Quality Team to ensure timely achievement of qualifications for learners
  • Support team in maintaining caseload numbers by providing innovative solutions to learner recruitment
  • Develop and share best practice across your team and region
  • Coach and develop teams through regular field observations and one to one review meetings
  • Conduct regular team communication meetings
  • Ensure team maintain continuous professional development
  • Ensure the team provide their caseload of learners with information, advice and guidance to successfully complete their qualifications in a timely manner
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you are responsible for or come into contact with
  • Consistently demonstrate and role model
  • Be aware of GDPR legislation and comply with all data protection requirements and legislation
  • Ensure the team provide their caseload of learners with information, advice and guidance to successfully complete their qualifications in a timely manner

Personal Specification

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Successful track record of leading and developing a high performing team in a work place learning environment (experience of managing a remote team would be advantageous)
  • Experience of effectively delivering on deadlines, objectives and targets
  • Functional Skills at level 2 Maths and English
  • AQA/IVA qualification would be advantageous Person
